Jayesh Wadhwani
I’m a fourth-year student at UNBC who enjoys getting involved and helping build a stronger campus community. I’m part of several SLOs and spend a lot of time playing soccer and basketball in intramurals. I’m the kind of person who asks the hard questions people are often thinking but no one says out loud, because good conversations usually lead to better decisions. My friends know me as someone who speaks up, listens, and genuinely cares about student experiences. Running for the NUGSS Board of Directors, I want to make sure student voices are heard and that the student society stays connected to what students actually need.

Paree Monani
Hey! I’m Paree, a first year Computer Science student at UNBC. I was born in India, raised in Tanzania and now I’m here in Canada. Growing up across three very different cultures has shaped the way I see the world more than anything else. It’s taught me to listen, adapt and genuinely appreciate the different experiences people carry with them.
Leadership has always come naturally to me. Back in Tanzania, I organized multiple Model UN conferences and took part in various leadership initiatives that taught me a lot about collaboration, bringing people together and making sure every perspective gets a fair shot, which is exactly what I want to bring here.
If elected as Director, I’m committed to creating a student community that is inclusive, vibrant and one where everyone genuinely feels at home. The best decisions happen when diverse voices are actually part of the conversation, and that’s something I’ll actively work toward. I’ll show up, put in the effort and give my absolute best.
Outside academics, you’ll probably find me with a camera somewhere - or three episodes deep into a show I swore I’d only watch one of.
I’d love to build something great with you all!

Prabhleen Binjee
Hello Everyone, I’m Prabhleen, a Biomedical Science student at UNBC and because of that major I spend a lot of time just in isolation trying to make sense of concepts. When I’m not studying or staring at my notes hoping the information magically sticks, I’m usually hanging out with friends, getting involved in things around campus, or finding random ways to stay busy.
I was also part of the NUGSS Board during the 2025–2026 year. Even though I joined in September, it gave me the chance to learn a lot about how things work behind the scenes and what we really need on campus. It was a great experience being part of conversations about improving student life and seeing how ideas turn into real changes.
In my free time, I play sports like basketball and badminton (If it’s the perfect day, which rarely happens). I also enjoy meeting new people and trying things I’ve never done before because university is the best time to take those chances.
So yeah, that’s me!

Rehana Ramzan
I am a Commerce student majoring in Accounting and Finance, driven by a commitment to building a campus where every student feels respected, supported, and empowered to thrive. Throughout my time at UNBC, I have dedicated myself to leadership, advocacy, and community engagement, values that align closely with the mission of the IDEA Representative role.
Serving as an Undergraduate Student Representative on the UNBC Senate allowed me to contribute meaningfully to the Senate Committee on Scholarships and Bursaries and the Senate Committee on Academic Affairs. These experiences strengthened my ability to listen, collaborate, and advocate for equitable student experiences, skills that I am eager to bring to NUGSS.
Beyond governance, I was involved with the Commerce Student Association and have supported sustainability initiatives through PGPIRG. My academic and service contributions have been recognized through multiple awards, reflecting my dedication to learning and community impact.
My commitment to inclusivity extends beyond campus. I have completed over 50 hours of community service and held leadership roles within the Pakistan Girl Guide Association, including Patrol Leader, Treasurer, and Chairperson.
These experiences have shaped my belief in the power of collaboration, representation, and student‑led change.
