The Thirsty Moose Pub opened its doors in 2008 and has been the go-to (and only) place on campus to grab an after-class beer and fill up on moose fries.

We will be opening with limited hours after Labour Day for the first week or two as we train new staff members. Open hours during this period are below or on our socials.

Wed. Sept 9: Closed

Thurs. Sept 10: Closed

Fri. Sept 11: Closed

Tues. Sept 15: 11 am to 10 pm

Wed. Sept 16: 12 to 10 pm (Pancake Breakfast event runs 9 to 11 am)

Thurs. Sept 17 & Fri. Sept 18: 11 am to 10 pm

Sat. Sept 19: 8 pm to 12 am

After the days noted above, our regular hours for the Fall semester are noted below. Extended hours and event changes may occur. Please check our socials for the current week’s hours with event listings.

Sunday & Monday - closed

Tuesday to Friday - 11 am to 10 pm

Saturday - 8 pm to 12 am

The Moose is operated by NUGSS and is located in the NUSC Building, right below our office. SLOs can also host pub nights at the Moose to raise funds.

All patrons must present two forms of government-issued identification as proof of legal drinking age.

Proof of legal age is not required to order or pick up take-out items, provided the patron(s) remain in the designated take-out area.

Minors are allowed during regular hours of operation and events that do not offer bar service and end before 10 pm.

If you plan to attend an event, please check the ticket or details before purchasing or arriving at the pub if you are under 19.

Minors must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, stepparent, grandparent, the minor's spouse, or another adult who can reasonably be expected to act in place of a parent and be responsible for the minor's supervision.
