What is the NUGSS Community Fridge?

The Community Fridge by the Northern Undergraduate Student Society is here to make campus life easier.

📍 Located in the Uptempo Lounge (Building 6, 2nd Floor) at the University of Northern British Columbia

Who can use it?

Any student on the UNBC campus is welcome to use the Community Fridge

Use Guidelines

Guidelines

All food must be removed on a nightly basis – and cleaning days.

Please ensure that your items will not spill or damage others’ food.

Please only take your items from the fridge. Leave all other items alone.

Please label your items, with your name and the date you are using the bin.

Limit your use to one bin, so others can have equal access to the fridge.

Cleaning Days & Time

Scheduled cleans will happen weekly for the duration of an hour.

For this semester: cleans are scheduled every Tuesday 9:00 am – 10:00 am

All food must be removed prior to scheduled cleans. Any food or items remaining will be moved to the lost and found and kept for up to one week.

Lost & Found

The bottom bin of the fridge is reserved for items that have stayed in the fridge too long. After one week, the bottom bin will be emptied, with items being donated or discarded.

NUGSS is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items. The use of the NUGSS Community fridge is at your discretion. If items have caused damage to others, they will be disposed of immediately and at NUGSS’ discretion.

All guidelines will be updated on a semesterly basis, please check guidelines frequently to ensure compliance.
